Two firefighters were injured while fighting a one-alarm fire at a single family home in Roslindale on Friday morning, according to the Boston Fire department.
The firefighters both had minor injuries and were taken to local hospitals, said firefighter Brian Alkins, a department spokesman.
Four adults and two children safely escaped from the house at 11 Clare Ave., the department tweeted on its official account. The fire began at about 5:19 a.m. and was knocked down in less than an hour.
The city and Red Cross are currently working with the residents to find housing, officials said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and the department tweeted that the flames heavily damaged a large addition at the rear of the house.
