Needham teen approached by man in car who repeatedly yelled at her to get in, police say

A 16-year-old Needham girl was approached by a man in a car late Saturday afternoon who repeatedly yelled at her to get into his Land Rover, leading police to search for the man’s vehicle, officials said.

At about 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, the teen was near the intersection of Hunnewell Street and Hillside Avenue when a white, newer-model Land Rover drove past her three times, police said in a Facebook post.

On the final pass, the teen told police that the driver “yelled at her multiple times to get into his vehicle.”

The driver was described as a white, muscular male in his 20s to 30s, with brown hair in a fade haircut and blue eyes, police said. He also had a tattoo on one of his upper arms and was wearing a blue V-neck T-shirt.

“This appears to be an isolated incident,” police said.

No further information was immediately available.

Anyone who sees a vehicle matching the description is asked to take note of the license plate and call the Needham Police Department at 781-444-1212.
