Jazz hands were on the move Sunday afternoon.

Twenty-five Massachusetts jazz ensembles performed Sunday at a number of locations along a two-mile strip on the Charles River Esplanade in an event aptly named “Jazz Along the Charles,” event organizers said.

The acts interpreted a list of Boston-related songs for the free concert, including James Taylor’s “Sweet Baby James” and Peggy Lee’s “Boston Beans,” according to the event’s website.

The concert was organized by Celebrity Series of Boston.
