Commuters on the Red Line should expect residual delays Thursday morning after an electrical fire between Andrew and JFK/UMass Stations on Wednesday night left one station without power.

Andrew Station was still without power at the start of MBTA service on Thursday, and shuttle buses were briefly used between Broadway and Fields Corner, according to the MBTA.

Power was restored by about 6 a.m., and regular train service was resumed. The MBTA told commuters to expect residual delays.

Red Line passengers were evacuated from Andrew and JFK stations at about 11 p.m. on Wednesday because of the electrical fire, according to the Boston fire department.
