Dozens of high school students escaped injury Thursday afternoon after the school bus they were in got sideswiped by a minivan in Andover, officials said.
The minivan hit the bus on Red Spring Road around 2:20 p.m. The students on board were on their way home from Andover High School, said Nicole L. Kieser, director of communications for Andover Public Schools.
The students were evaluated by EMS before they were cleared to go home, Kieser said.
“Andover Public Schools is working with parents and students to provide alternative transportation home,” Kieser said in a statement. “We are grateful there are no injuries as a result of this accident.”Andres Picon can be reached at email@example.com. Follow him on Twitter at @andpicon.
