Woman seriously injured after being struck by car in Revere
A 61-year-old woman was seriously injured after she was struck by a car in Revere, police said.
The woman, a Revere resident, was crossing Revere Beach Boulevard around 6 p.m. when she was hit by a 2011 Kia Soul traveling north, State Police said. She was taken to Mass General Hospital.
Neither the driver of the Kia, a 54-year-old Lynn man, nor his 8-year-old passenger was injured, police said.
Officials said the woman began crossing from between two parked cars and was not in a crosswalk.
Police did not say on Sunday night whether any charges have been filed against the driver.
