Police search for second driver involved in fatal hit of woman in West Boylston

State Police are searching for one of two drivers who struck and killed a 19-year-old Leominister woman on Route 190 in West Boylston early Sunday morning.

The woman, who was not identified, was driving a 2008 Infiniti when she lost control of the car and went off the left side of the road and rolled over into the median at about 2:20 a.m., State Police said in a statement. The woman was able to get out of the car, climb up the 20-foot embankment, and walk along the northbound lane.

She was in the travel lane when she was struck by an unknown vehicle, and then by a by a 2008 Mazda driven by an unidentified 40-year-old Leominster man, police said.


The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Mazda stayed at the scene, police said. No charges have been filed against him and no other injuries were reported.
