Less than a week after Elizabeth Warren made her first stops in New Hampshire to explore a presidential bid, she is scheduled to return to the state Friday night to hold a rally in western New Hampshire.
Warren’s campaign confirmed it will hold a 6:30 p.m. event at the Common Man restaurant in Claremont. So far, there are no other campaign events scheduled that day.
Claremont is not only right across the Connecticut River from Vermont, the home state of potential 2020 rival US Senator Bernie Sanders, but it is also the hometown of his son, Levi.
Claremont is a blue-collar city that was once considered a Democratic stronghold, but it voted for Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election.
In addition to her Friday night event, Warren is scheduled to return to New Hampshire in February to keynote a major fund-raising dinner for the New Hampshire Democratic Party.
