MBTA urges riders to plan ahead for Tuesday morning commute
The MBTA is urging customers riders to allow 10 to 15 minutes of additional travel time to their Tuesday morning commute due to the extreme cold, winds, and icy conditions that are expected to continue through tomorrow, the agency said in a statement.
“We want to remind our customers to allow for extra travel time tomorrow morning, and be mindful of icy conditions and be extra cautious when walking to and from their bus stops, stations, and their vehicles when parked at MBTA parking facilities,” MBTA General Manager Steve Poftak said.
All ferry routes, rapid transit, bus, and Commuter Rail lines are expected to run on regularly scheduled weekday service on Tuesday, the statement said. No service changes are planned for the RIDE, but the MBTA warns that the low temperatures could affect driving conditions.
