Man charged with drunken driving after crashing into Falmouth home
A Plymouth man was arrested Thursday night on drunken driving charges after crashing into a house in Falmouth, officials said.
No one was injured, but a resident was displaced after 57-year-old David Marathas drove his pickup truck into the front of the single-family home at 261 Jones Road, Falmouth police said.
Officers at the scene reported the man believed he was “either in Carver or Wareham,” Falmouth police said in a Facebook post.
Marathas also hit a traffic light before driving up on the lawn and into the house, police said in the post.
Falmouth Police Lieutenant Douglas DeCosta told the Globe that Marathas was able to exit the vehicle and was not injured.
Decosta said this was Marathas’s first arrest for drunken driving, and he was scheduled to be arraigned Friday.
