An injured hiker was rescued from a trail in Duxbury Saturday morning, according to Duxbury Fire Department.
The hiker suffered non-life-threatening injuries when she fell while walking her dog with a group in a wooded area near Mayflower Street, according to Captain Brain Monahan in a brief phone interview.
She called emergency services at 7:33 a.m. and authorities were able to find her within 10 minutes tracing her cellphone location, Monahan said.
Responders used a 6x6 off-road rescue vehicle to recover the woman, who was about a quarter mile into the woods on the trail, and took about 20 minutes to carry her out.
