Boston police are investigating separate stabbings in East Boston and Mattapan that left two men with life-threatening injuries Sunday.

Just before 2 a.m. on Sunday morning, a man was stabbed outside of Taverna Medallo in East Boston, according to Officer Kim Tavares, Boston police spokeswoman. The man, whose name and age were not available, was taken to a local hospital.

At around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, another man was stabbed in the area of 640 River St. in Mattapan, Tavares said. Details about his identity were not released. He was also taken to a local hospital.

No arrests have yet been made in either case, Tavares said.
