Eight people displaced by overnight fire in Roslindale

(Boston Fire Department)

Eight people are displaced after a fire in a home in Roslindale early Wednesday morning.

Boston Fire Department crews responded just after 1 a.m. to 19 Harrison St., where fire was detected on the first and second floors of a residence, officials said. No one was injured during the blaze and evacuation of residents, and firefighters subdued the flames on both floors.

The Massachusetts Red Cross was aiding the seven adults and one child displaced by the fire, which caused about $150,000 in damage, according to fire officials.

The Fire Investigation Unit was investigating the cause early Wednesday.
