A Malden couple were arrested Friday for trafficking sex through a day spa in Norwell, officials said.
Authorities conducted a search of Platinum Body Works Spa on 144 Washington St. in Norwell on Feb. 20, police said in a statement.

As a result of the search, police arrested Xiangmei Eckhardt and Robert Eckhardt Friday at their Malden home on Friday, police said in a release.
The Eckhardts are facing charges for trafficking of person for sexual servitude and deriving support from prostitution. Additionally, Robert Eckhardt was charged with misleading an officer.

Bail has been set for $9,000 each, police said.
The pair are due to be arraigned on Monday, a spokeswoman for the Plymouth district attorney said.
