The MBTA is offering a $15 unlimited pass for commuter rail passengers traveling on Marathon Monday.
The pass can be purchased on the MBTA’s mTicket app or in ticket offices at the North, South, and Back Bay stations. It can also be purchased on trains Monday only with cash or credit card.
The commuter rail pass can be used all day in all zones on Monday, the day of the Marathon, the MBTA said in a statement.
Officials suggested that spectators who wish to use MBTA subways and buses multiple times purchase a $12 one-day pass,
“CharlieCards preloaded with $5 roundtrip subway fare will also be available for purchase by credit or debit card only from Transit Ambassadors at Alewife, Back Bay, Braintree, Fenway, Quincy Adams, or Riverside Stations on April 15,” the statement said.
Copley Station is the only station scheduled to close.
All subway lines and the Silver Line will run additional service before and after the Marathon, according to the MBTA.
