Boston firefighter and Matt Brown finish Boston Marathon a day early

A former Norwood High School student who was paralyzed from the neck down when he broke his neck in 2010 completed the Boston Marathon route Sunday with a Boston firefighter — a day early due to the weather forecasted for Monday.

“Congratulations to running team of Matt Brown and Lucas Carr on completing 123rd Boston Marathon today,” the fire department tweeted.

In photos and videos posted Facebook, the duo could be seen making their way through the Marathon course, escorted by a State Police SUV.
