Authorities are investigating the “suspicious death” of a man whose body was found Monday at a trash transfer station in Auburn, N.H.,officials said.

The body was found at the Waste Management Transfer Station, New Hampshire Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald’s office said in a statement.

“Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Christopher J. Wagner, and Auburn Police Chief Raymond Pelton announce that authorities are responding to the suspicious death of a male at the Waste Management Transfer Station in Auburn, New Hampshire,” the statement read.

Waste Management said in a statement that the company was cooperating with the town of Auburn and the New Hampshire State Police.
