Body found in South End, no foul play suspected

A body was found in Boston’s South End Sunday morning, but the death is not considered suspicious, according to police.

The body was found at East Berkeley Street and Shawmut Avenue at about 5:30 a.m., said Officer Stephen McNulty, a police spokesman. “Initial indications are the death is NOT criminal in nature,” he said in an e-mail.

The death is under investigation.
