Artists showcase work in Natick’s 11th ArtWalk festival

Natick’s downtown will come alive as a hub of creative activity on Thursday, July 19, when the town’s ArtWalk festival is held.

From 5 to 8 p.m., more than 74 artists will be showcasing their works outside businesses, studios, and galleries. There will also be musical entertainment throughout the downtown, face painting, performances by a magician, and an after-dusk projection event called “Electric Pilgrims” on Summer Street, across from Barleycorn’s Craft Brew.

An annual event the past 11 years, ArtWalk is now part of Natick Nights, organized by the Natick Center Cultural District.

Offered from 5 to 8 p.m. every Thursday in June and July, Natick Nights features performances, demonstrations, and other activities that include walking tours of Natick, gallery openings, beer and wine tastings, and restaurant specials.

Each week offers a different theme ranging from Kid’s Night to Vintage Night, and even a downtown scavenger hunt night, in addition to ArtWalk.

“Natick Nights is a great way to get to know your neighbors and a welcoming way to meet people from other communities,” said Town Administrator Melissa Malone.
