Somerville is holding a community meeting on Monday, Dec. 17, to update residents about the remaining work set to be done at Lincoln Park.
The city in July celebrated the completion of the major features of a $9.4 million project to upgrade the 6.6-acre park.
The completed work included new construction or updating of the playground, skate park, basketball courts, rain gardens, water sprays, off-leash dog area, circulation paths, fitness station, community gardens, pollinator garden, toddler area with sandbox, parkour area, and expansive decks with tables and chairs.
Also completed was a new 1.25 million gallon subsurface storm-water storage system and a recycled rain-water irrigation system.
At Monday’s meeting, officials will detail what has been done since then and final work planned for next spring.
The meeting, set for 7:30 p.m. in the Argenziano School cafeteria, is being jointly hosted by the Office of Strategic Planning and Community Development, Ward 2 Alderman J.T. Scott, and Alderman at Large Stephanie Hirsch.John Laidler can be reached at email@example.com.
