State Police charged a woman Wednesday in the death of her 2 ½-year-old daughter, who investigators said was killed in Newport before her body was found in her mother’s car. Leanna Norris, 24, of Auburn, was arrested after her release from a medical center where she was receiving treatment. She was taken to the Penobscot County Jail. Norris, who is due to be arraigned Friday, was indicted last week on a murder charge but the indictment was sealed until her arrest. The body of her daughter, Loh Grenda, was discovered around 3 a.m. June 23 in Norris’s car in Stetson, where she lived before moving to Auburn.
