Then and now: Get a look at Boston’s old military sites

Are you a history buff and want to know what some former military sites in the Boston area look like now?

Here’s your chance.

The National Archives said Monday that it recently released more than 1,000 images.

Take a look at some of the old photos with approximate modern-day views of the sites.

The former Navy base in Boston, which today is home to the Boston Marine Industrial Park:

The former Naval Air Station Squantum in Quincy, which is now Squantum Point Park:

What would become Naval Air Station South Weymouth when it was under construction, an an aerial view of the then-closed airfield in 2000:
