L.L. Bean is temporarily taking office work outdoors.

This week — Tuesday through Thursday — the Greenway at Wharf District Park will be the site of an outdoor public co-working space.

It’s part of the retailer’s “Be an Outsider at Work” promotion.

According to statistics compiled by the company, a majority of people enjoy the outdoors, but most of those who work inside don’t take their work outdoors.

“So many of us love spending time outdoors and appreciate the benefits, yet for many people outdoor time is only spent away from work and on weekends,” said Steve Smith, president and CEO of L.L. Bean.

The co-working spaces are free, but an online reservation is required.
