Pipe bomb tossed from vehicle on N.H. road

A pipe bomb thrown from a moving vehicle exploded and killed a small animal, according to police. Authorities said witnesses reported seeing the pipe bomb being thrown on Monday afternoon from the vehicle, which was traveling southbound on Bypass 28 toward Derry. WMUR-TV reported that police said the pipe bomb left an 8-inch hole in the ground and killed the animal on the other side of the road. They did not say what type of animal was killed.
