Hamilton receives $60,000 clean energy grant


Hamilton recently received notification that it will receive a $60,000 Massachusetts Clean Energy Grant for technical assistance in developing a request for proposals for an anaerobic digester. The document will solicit proposals for a business to build, manage, and operate a digester on the former town landfill, near the town line with Manchester-by-the-Sea. The anaerobic digester would create electrical power from organic waste from the Hamilton-Wenham curbside organic recycling program, from commercial waste, and from other sources.
