Burbank YMCA raises $3,000 for local families

The Burbank YMCA raised more than $3,000 for its annual campaign at the organization’s 23d annual 5K Classic, which was held last month. The Y’s annual campaign raises money to help people in Reading, Stoneham, North Reading, Wilmington, and Wakefield who are in need. More than 200 runners took part in this year’s 5K Classic. The top male finisher was Brian O’Neil of Andover, with a time of 18:46, while the top female finisher was Suzy Macero of Wakefield, with a time of 19:49.
