Town complies with compost mandate

The town has complied with a mandate from the state Department of Environmental Protection to bring its compost site into compliance with environmental regulations, according to town administrator Andrew Bisignani. He said that since the summer, the town has had approximately 2,000 yards of compost material removed from the compost site off of Wilson Road, pulling it back from areas where it was encroaching on wetlands.
