Mayor Scott D. Galvin recently made two appointments to city boards. Joel Long was appointed to the Board of Health, replacing a member whose term had expired. David Rufo was appointed to the Board of Assessors, effective Jan. 1. He will fill the seat now held by Bill Sullivan, who is retiring from the board after 25 years. Long is the owner of Skyline Northeast in Arlington, a producer of trade show displays. He formerly was a general manager for two Bertucci’s restaurants. He serves on the board of directors of Woburn Youth Soccer. Rufo works as a senior mortgage executive and has been active in the community as a youth hockey and softball coach.
