Homeowners’ tax bills going up $128


The new year will bring higher tax bills for Medford property owners. On average, homeowners can expect a $128.24 increase. The figure is based on a home valued at $348,500, the current average value of a home, according to city assessing data. The City Council on Dec. 18 approved a new residential tax rate of $12.36 per $1,000 valuation of a home The rate will be reflected in tax bills due to be mailed Jan. 1.
