The Ipswich Public Library is now offering e-readers, both Nooks and Kindles, purchased by the Friends of the Ipswich Public Library through its Hubert & Louise Johnson Endowment Fund. One Nook is preloaded with fiction titles and the other with nonfiction titles. The Kindles are not preloaded, but patrons may download available fiction and nonfiction titles from the library’s digital collection at www. ipswichlibrary.org. A color Nook is loaded with children’s books and available in the children’s room. The library also has four iPads, intended for students taking online courses through IpswichU, a Recreation Department program.
