A 28-year-old Lowell man will return to Lowell District Court on Feb. 28 for a pretrial conference before facing charges of trespassing and threatening to commit a crime. Yieth Mao was arrested during the early afternoon of Dec. 17 after he allegedly tried to force his way into the apartment of a 78-year-old Lowell woman, saying he wanted to watch the New England Patriots game. The woman was able to hold the door enough to keep him out, then called police when he left. Police found Mao nearby and reported that he appeared highly intoxicated. After questioning him, they placed Mao under arrest and informed him that the Patriots had played the night before.
