Reading selectmen Steve Goldy and Rick Schubert announced at the Dec. 18 Board of Selectmen’s meeting that they will not seek reelection in 2013. According to the town clerk’s office, no one has yet pulled nomination papers for those seats, which will be up for grabs in the town election on April 2. To qualify for placement on the local election ballot, anyone interested in becoming a candidate must collect at least 50 signatures from registered voters and submit the list to the town clerk’s office by Feb. 12 for certification.
