Somerville will pick up Christmas trees left on curbsides through Friday, Jan. 11, according to an announcement from the city. Trees should be left cleaned of decorations, and should not be in a bag or tied with plastic. The city aims to pick up the trees on trash pick-up day, but it may take several days longer, the announcement said. The trees will be turned into mulch by the public works department, and the mulch will be available to residents at the public works yard, 1 Franey Road.
