Town welcomes three new police officers


Three new Malden police officers were sworn in during a Jan. 16 ceremony after completing police academy training, according to an announcement from Mayor Gary Christenson’s office. Officers Conor Cloherty, Stephen Munyon, and Steven Mulcahy Jr. were sworn in, with Christenson, Police Chief James Holland, and Police Commissioner Salvatore Gennetti participating. The recruits received training from the Police Academy and the state’s Criminal Justice Training Council.
