Student-made mosaic to be unveiled at East Somerville Community School

A mosaic made by students, with the help of a muralist, will be unveiled at East Somerville Community School Monday, according to an announcement from Somerville schools. “Urban Wilds, Seasons in Somerville” will be presented to the public in a ceremony put on by the Parent Teacher Association in the school’s cafeteria from 2:45 to 4:45 p.m. The mosaic was painted by fifth- to eighth-grade students with the help of Cambridge-based muralist David Fichter. The East Somerville Community School is located at 40 Prescott St.
