On Feb. 22, downtown residents and visitors will hear the ringing of bells in three different 30-minute intervals. At its last meeting, the Board of Selectmen approved a motion to allow the bells of Abbot Hall and all the town’s churches to ring on Washington’s birthday. The schedule for the bell ringing is from 7:30 to 8 a.m, noon to 12:30 p.m., and 6 to 6:30 p.m.
