The Saugus Democratic Town Committee is holding a caucus to elect delegate and alternates to this year’s Democratic State Convention next Sunday, Feb. 24, at 7 p.m. at the Housing Authority’s Laurel Gardens apartment complex, 2 Rice St. The caucus is open to any Saugus resident 18 and over who was a registered Democrat as of Dec. 31, 2012. A total of 13 delegates and three alternates will be elected. The adoption of a party platform for the next four years will be the main business at the convention, which is scheduled for July 13 at the Tsongas Center in Lowell.
