Ray loses out on chief’s job in Colorado

Beverly Police Chief Mark Ray will not be assuming the police chief’s post in Lone Tree, Colo. Ray was one of six finalists for the police chief’s position in the Denver suburb, but was passed over for the job. Lone Tree spokeswoman Kristen Knoll said Ray came to the city for an interview earlier this month. She said 90 people applied for the position. Ray has served as police chief in Beverly since 2007.
