Georgetown

School offers fuel assistance to locals

The trustees of the Perley Free School offer a limited fuel assistance program to local residents who are experiencing financial hardships. The trust was established in 1860 by John Perley to start a free school for Georgetown children; a small endowment from the trust is available to aid Georgetown residents facing difficulties, including paying for heat. Residents who need assistance, including oil, gas, or firewood, can call the Council on Aging at 978-352-5726 for information and referral.
