Lowell: Mothers of Rock is a benefit concert that celebrates women in music and raises money for Girls Inc. of Lowell, an after-school program for girls. Fifteen different acts will showcase songs that were originally made famous by female performers, ranging from Barbra Streisand to Spice Girls to Björk. Rockport: Bill and Bo Winiker have been playing together for half a century, from entertaining Boston-area jazz fans to performing at President Clinton’s inaugural ball.
