Town seeks conservation intern

Town officials are seeking a qualified candidate to intern part time this summer with the Conservation Department to create geographic information system (GIS) maps of the town’s conservation and recreation properties. The maps will be made available via the Internet and in print and will be used as a planning tool by local and regional conservation and recreation organizations. The ideal candidate will be a student studying landscape architecture, urban or regional planning, GIS technology, civil engineering, or a related field. Interested individuals must complete a town employment application and submit a cover letter as well as one or two work samples of GIS maps they have created. The intern is expected to work for 10 weeks between May and August.
