Police arrest Lowell man after chase

A recent three-town police pursuit that began in Dracut led to the arrest of a Lowell man who will face multiple charges in court on May 2. The chase began following a report that a man was beating a woman inside of a car parked in a Lakeview Avenue lot. When police arrived, the driver sped off, refusing to stop as he headed into Lowell. The suspect, 42-year-old Kevin Cole, was eventually stopped and arrested at gunpoint in Tyngsborough. He now faces charges of assault and battery, failure to stop for police, and speeding, as well as charges stemming from a 2012 warrant issued in Dracut on charges of operating with a suspended license and having no inspection sticker.
