Town election set for Tuesday

Chelmsford’s annual town election is scheduled to take place on Tuesday. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. This is a nonpartisan election, so all registered voters may vote regardless of party affiliation. Any voter who will be absent from the town during polling hours on Election Day or who cannot go to the polls due to a physical disability or religious belief may vote by absentee ballot. Eligible voters may vote at the clerk’s office in Town Hall, 50 Billerica Road, or by mail. The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot is noon Monday. For more information, contact the town clerk’s office at 978-250-5205.
