Town clerk extends office hours

Nahant Town Clerk Peggy Barile will hold office hours at Town Hall, Nahant Road, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, the last day to register to vote in the town election, which is scheduled for April 27. Those who register to vote in the election will also be able to participate at annual Town Meeting, also scheduled for April 27. Both the town election and meeting will be held at Town Hall. There will be just one race on the ballot at the town election, with Board of Selectmen chairman Michael Manning being challenged by Joyce Maroney, former chairwoman of the Advisory and Finance Committee. Wednesday is the last day for voter registration for the special state primary, scheduled for April 30.
