There are four candidates running for two Board of Selectmen seats and four candidates running for three seats on the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School Committee on the ballot for Hamilton’s annual town election on Thursday. With Jeff Stinson not seeking reelection, the Board of Selectmen race includes incumbent Marc Johnson, Bill Dery, Jacob Hauck, and Scott Maddern. For School Committee, there are four candidates for three at-large seats: Jeanise Bertrand, former School Committee member Richard Boroff, former Wenham Finance and Advisory Committee member Deborah Evans, and Melissa Even Moore, who is running for the second time. Three from that group will replace Kym Donnellan, Ann Minois, and Larry Swartz, all of whom are not seeking reelection. Also on the ballot is a question seeking a Proposition 2½ debt exclusion to help pay for the building of a new high school for the Essex North Shore Agricultural and Technical School District. As one of 17 member communities, the town has already agreed to accept its share of the project.
