Tickets are on sale for the annual Blossoms at the Beebe celebration, set for April 27 from 7 to11 p.m. at the library. The event, a joint fund-raiser for Beebe Library and the Wakefield Chamber of Commerce, will feature a flower show, a silent auction, a wine tasting, appetizers, and a cash bar. In keeping with this year’s Great Gatsby theme, the event, open to people age 21 and over, will also feature 1920s-style live musical entertainment. Tickets are $35 per person if purchased in advance, or $40 at the door. Advance tickets are available at the library’s reference desk or at Also that weekend, on April 28 from 1 to 5 p.m., a free family day at the library will showcase the floral displays from the flower show and feature arts and crafts, a scavenger hunt, and an origami workshop.
