Methuen and Lawrence police detectives are working with the FBI to investigate possible connections between six bank robberies in the two cities since January . Methuen Police Chief Joseph Solomon said he had been reaching out to other area departments prior to forming the new task force, and that he believes there is a connection between the robberies in Methuen and those in Lawrence. Five of the six occurred at TD Bank branches. While the investigation continues, Solomon said members of his department have met with representatives from all of the city’s banks to discuss situational awareness, safety measures, and identifying suspicious cars.
