A Tyngsborough woman has been sentenced to a year in jail for a 2011 house break and robbery. Kelly Galvin, 25, pleaded guilty in Lowell District Court to larceny over $250 and malicious destruction of property over $250. She was charged with breaking into a Bridle Path Way home in October 2011 and stealing thousands of dollars worth of valuables, including jewelry, coins, and specially engraved military swords. The homeowners were away at the time due to an extended power outage. Some items were recovered by the homeowner, who found them in a Nashua pawn shop. Police were able to track Galvin through the shop, as well as her ex-boyfriend, who turned several more items over to police.
