Brandon Bingel , St. John’s Prep: In his last appearance on the mound for the Eagles, the senior gave up five hits, struck out 11, and walked one in a complete game 5-0 shutout of Peabody in Division 1 North semis.

Liam Coughlin , Lowell Catholic: The 6-foot-1 Brandeis University- bound senior continued his postseason dominance with a four-hit, complete game shutout in the Division 4 state championship game as the Crusaders won 1-0 on a walk-off single by Alex Larmand.

Molly Doyle , St. Mary’s: The shortstop went 3 for 4 with 4 RBIs for the Spartans as they rolled over the Wildcats 7-3 to win the Division 3 North title.

Kyle Murphy , Billerica: After his second hit produced his second RBI of the day, he scored the eventual winning run on a balk in the Indians’ 4-3 win over St. John’s Prep in the Division 1 North final. Teammate and namesake Chris Murphy delivered on the mound, throwing 132 pitches over six innings, striking out 8 and scattering 3 hits.

Meghan Sears , Central Catholic: The senior outfielder went 2 for 4 at the plate with 3 RBIs in Central Catholic’s comeback 5-3 win against Concord-Carlisle in the Division 1 North semifinals, then went 2 for 4 again with 2 more RBI in the North Final as the Raiders defeated Newton North 10-2.

7 Number of consecutive seasons St. Mary’s of Lynn softball has advanced to the North final. The Spartans captured the 2013 title with a 7-3 victory over Whittier.
