The Board of Selectmen has scheduled a reception for Wayne Melville, town administrator since April 2006, on Monday from 5 to 6 p.m. in Room 5 of Town Hall, Central Street. Melville retired earlier this year, but agreed to stay on as interim town administrator until June 21. The informal reception will be followed by a short ceremony at 6 p.m. involving current and former selectmen, and the board is scheduled to hold its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. “We welcome people to come in and wish Wayne well on his retirement,” Selectman Tom Kehoe said. “He’s someone who has kept moving the town forward and done a good job as town administrator.” Greg Federspiel, town manager in Lenox, will assume the town administrator position on June 24.
